The World's Largest Book Club, Part the Second

I am making good progress through the Oprah Book Club pick--I have finished the first section and have fallen in love with the simple food that is the prose of "The Story of Edgar Sawtelle." I won't spoil it for you if you are reading it too (if you are reading "Sawtelle" and my work at the same time, then I am particularly honored). If you are not reading it, I recommend it. It's set in farm country, but it's not backward in any way, and there's a challenge to the entire story with Edgar's physical condition.

Turning my attention this week to the Afghan book, which also reads low maintenance and lyrical.

I love the new photo atop the blog. It just has "Jo" written all over it.

Thanks, MH! I tried to insert an icon of Minerva there, but it was loading properly. So the billboard is of my portable desk instead.
